Intelliject

Intelliject (previously called EpiCard) is getting closer to being available on the market. Hopefully this will mean that teenagers will be more willing to carry their life-saving medication with them at all times if it will easily fit into their pocket!

Medications at School

Make sure your child's school knows the medication laws!

What is Breathe: It’s The Law?
A campaign to make sure students in EVERY state can carry and self-administer their life-saving asthma and anaphylaxis medications. AANMA spearheaded this campaign with support from volunteers and legislators in every state.

Why is it important?
Every school year students die because they were unable to get to their asthma or anaphylaxis medications on time. The medications were locked in a nurse’s cabinet or stowed away in a place too far to get to when the student needed them. Minutes count when asthma or anaphylaxis strikes. Students need to carry these medications on them, know when and how to use them — and then do it!

EpiPen poster

This photo and description kind of says it all in terms of how many parents feel when their children receive an invite to a birthday party.

What "birthday party" invitations look like in the minds of parents managing children with food allergies. Educate yourself on what 'trace amounts' mean so you can understand instead of thinking parents are being overly-protective.
